On 08 June 2026, an External Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) was conducted for the BS Artificial Intelligence (BS AI) and BS Software Engineering (BS SE) programmes, along with the evaluation of the Action Plan 2024–25 for the BS Computer Science (BS CS) programme. The review focused on assessing programme quality, evaluating the implementation of previous recommendations, and determining institutional readiness to meet emerging challenges in the rapidly evolving field of Computing and Information Technology.
The external review panel comprised distinguished academicians and quality assurance experts:

The review panel acknowledged the remarkable growth and increasing demand for Computing disciplines, particularly in Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Computer Science, which continue to drive technological innovation and digital transformation worldwide. The panel appreciated the University’s proactive efforts to modernize curricula, strengthen industry relevance, enhance practical learning opportunities, and continuously improve academic standards to meet national and international expectations.
The review process was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Sajida Parveen, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), who facilitated the programme evaluation in accordance with HEC quality assurance guidelines. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Khalid Khan, President, presented a comprehensive institutional briefing highlighting the University’s strategic vision for academic excellence, investment in emerging technologies, faculty development initiatives, research enhancement, and commitment to producing graduates equipped with future-ready knowledge and professional competencies.
The external reviewers shared constructive observations and recommendations to further strengthen curriculum alignment, research integration, industry collaboration, outcome-based education, and continuous quality improvement mechanisms. The University management welcomed the recommendations with a positive approach and reaffirmed its commitment to implementing all observations diligently. It was assured that the identified areas for improvement would be effectively addressed and incorporated into the academic planning and quality enhancement initiatives for the 2026–27 academic year.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to sustaining excellence in Computing education, fostering innovation, strengthening academic quality, and ensuring that all programmes continue to meet evolving technological, industrial, and accreditation requirements through an effective culture of continuous quality improvement.
