KIET ARCHIVES

Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology (KIET) was established in 1997 with the aim of providing quality education economically. Its academic programs are designed to prepare the students to meet the challenges of the business world.

 

KIET received recognition by the Higher Education Commission (formerly named UGC vide letter no. 15-22/UGC-SEC/97/1291 dated August 1, 1998). KIET is also accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for Engineering programs, Computer Science degree programs were accredited by National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), whereas Management Sciences degree program is accredited by HEC. KIET has been awarded a degree granting status through a charter from the Government of Sindh on May 24, 2000.

 

In June 2000, the Institute moved to PAF Base, Korangi Creek after the Pakistan Air Force and the Pakistan Education Foundation (PEF) agreed on a joint collaboration to establish a high-quality educational institution at PAF Base, Korangi Creek.

 

The KIET Main Campus was spread over 11 acres, extendable up to 22 acres, situated at the PAF Airmen Academy, Korangi Creek. It was easily accessible from all corners of the megacity, Karachi. This campus had custom-built infrastructure that enabled professional education in a peaceful environment.

 

The City Campuses of KIET has been operating from two locations the Shahrah-e-Faisal site situated in Block-6, PECHS Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi and North Nazimabad site situated in North Nazimabad Block-F, Karachi where morning, evening, and weekend programs have been running smoothly to facilitate students from all localities of Karachi.

 

A number of students have been graduated from this reputed educational institute and secured recognized positions in the industry, proving that the institute had provided quality and excellence in education.
