Ongoing Collaboration with URAAN Pakistan

Venue: KIET, City Campus

Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology held a meeting with Mr. Muhammad Asim Khan Nyazee, Spokesperson/Head of Development Communication and Director of Projects at the Ministry of Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan, upon his request, regarding the visionary URAAN Pakistan initiative.

The meeting—joined by our respected Associate Dean Dr. Tariq Jalees & Cluster Head Finance Muhammad Asadullah was highly productive and opened doors for a meaningful partnership. We are proud to share that the Government of Pakistan is keen to onboard College of Management Sciences (CoMS)  as a collaborative member in this national project.

URAAN Pakistan aims to drive socio-economic development through strategic initiatives, youth engagement, innovation, and capacity building—and we are excited about the opportunity to contribute through our academic, research, and technological strengths.

MoU signed between KIET & BUKC

Venue: Bahria Business School Karachi, BUKC

Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology (KIET) and Bahria University Karachi Campus (BUKC) and formalized a stretegic partnership on May 29, 2024. Bahria Business School Karachi played a pivotal role in establishing this collaboration.
 
This strategic alliance aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions, fostering the development of faculty, students, and research initiatives. Our joint efforts will elevate the standards of higher education, benefiting both universities.
 
Key points of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) include:
– Faculty Development: Collaborative training programs and workshops to enhance faculty expertise.
– Student Exchange Programs: Opportunities for students to gain diverse academic experiences.
– Joint Research Initiatives: Collaborative research projects to address local and global challenges.
– Resource Sharing: Access to each institution’s academic and technological resources.
 
The signing ceremony was graced by esteemed representatives from both sides. From BUKC, Vice Admiral (R) K G Hussain HI (M), Director General BUKC, alongside Dean of Management Science Dr. Muhammad Zahid, HoD Business Studies Dr. Mubashir Ali Khan, HoD MS Dr. Liaquat Ali, Deputy Director Erum Shafiq, and Manager RBSC Dr. Ubedullah Amjad Ali were present. Representing KIET, AVM (R) Usaid ur Rehman Usmani, Associate Dean & Director CoMS Dr. Adnan Anwar, and HoDs Dr. Sahar Qabool and Dr. Quratul Ain Kazmi attended the ceremony.
